Downhill Skiing - Kimberley Alpine Resort

The Kimberly Alpine Resort, part of Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, is a mountain of potential: a best-kept secret that is about to hit the big time. With over 1,800 acres across two mountains, Kimberley Alpine Resort is now the 4th largest ski resort in British Columbia. Kimberley Alpine Resort and the surrounding Kimberley community is the place to be for fun, relaxation, local atmosphere and supreme recreational activities.

Cross Country Skiing - Kimberley Nordic Club

The Kimberley Nordic Club trail network consists of a variety of double track set trails with centre skating laneds, the longest loop being 7 km, there are also 5 km and 3 km loops. There are also a variety of single track set secondary trails and a 3.3 km loop lit for night skiing. The trails are accessed adjacent to the Kimberley Alpine Resort.

Canadian Golf Course Architect Les Furber has created 18 truly unique golf holes. Surrounded by the majestic Purcell Mountains, Trickle Creek provides golfers with a spectacular mountain setting. The course runs from 5082 to 6892 yards and can be as challenging as each golfer wishes to make it. Kimberley Golf and Country Club

Kimberley Golf Club was established in 1924 and as a mature golf course is like an older sister to Trickle Creek Golf Resort. Highly regarded by locals and visitors alike, this course has been the site of many regional championships. Situated high above the St. Mary's River amongst towering pines, the course has a serene feeling and has a most challenging layout. Although Kimberly Golf Club is member based, visiting golfers are always welcome.

St. Eugene Mission Golf Resort

The turn-of-the-century of the historic St. Eugene Mission provides the focal point for this impressive 18 hole challenging course, opened in 2000. St. Eugene's stunning natural environment spreads across the benchland of the St. Mary's Valley. There are three distinct golfing environments, Links, Woodland and River, that have been blended together to produce some great holes.

Bootleg Gap

Opened in July 2002, Bootleg Gap is a sensational new 27-hole public facility in a gorgeous valley setting. Designed by Les Furber, Bootleg Gap features an 18-hole championship course and a terrific 9-hole course that features a par of 34. Some tough driving holes and a great par-five provide a unique challenge on the nine-holer, which is already an extremely popular component of Bootleg Gap.

Rafting:
Canadian Rockies River Expedition
Whether you want to soak up the sun while relaxing to breathtaking mountain scenery, or thrill to the cascading whitewater, we offer unparalleled river magic for you! The St. Mary's Express runs twice daily from Kimberley. Rated a 2 - 3, this river rafting experience is perfect for the whole family. The St. Mary's River winds out of lush Purcell mountains while offering views of majestic Rockies. 3 Hour Trip.

The Elk River Canyon trip runs twice weekly from Kimberley. Rated a 3 - 4, this trip is For experienced rafters and adventurous beginners. This full day trip includes a gourmet lunch. Both trips include Certified Professional Guides, transportation and all equipment. A liability waiver form must be signed prior to departure.

Fishing:

Rainbow, cutthroat and bull trout are plentiful in our area's streams, rivers and lakes. Our favourite time of the year for lake fly fishing is early Spring (April - June) and late Fall (September - November).

Cutthroat are plentiful and are looking up for the dry fly take during the summer months (July - September) in our area. The weather is usually warm and sunny. Bull trout also live in these rivers and they can reach up to 20 lbs. Both Fly Fishing daily excursions include: Professional Guides, transportation, meals & snacks and all equipment.
